ICE is no longer an immigration enforcement agency, but an untrained, heavily armed, paramilitary force, given illegal and criminal orders, that is being used by the Trump administration not only to terrorize immigrants, but to brutalize and even kill Latinos and people of color and protesters. ICE destroys and steals public property, mistreats prisoners to force them to “self-deport,” and runs concentration camps where prisoners are kept in subhuman conditions, denied medical care and medicine, provided with insufficient and rotten food and subjected to sexual demands.
As a Congressman, I will fight to not only abolish ICE but to pass laws that hold ICE agents and their superiors criminally and civilly liable for their human rights violations.
